In addition to your traditional Medicare coverage, private companies (approved by the government) offer plans with benefits to help pay for what Medicare will not. These are called Medicare Supplement or Medigap Plans and their benefits are standardized by the government.
In addition some carriers also offer Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C). The programs take the place of medicare Part A and Part B but may include extra benefits such as vision or dental coverage.
It's important to note that although these plans are standardized by Medicare, the premiums are not regulated. Our free service helps you compare plans and benefits across the agent network.
Medigap policies are sold by insurance companies to provide benefits that Medicare does not offer. There are up to 10 standardized Medigap Plans (A, B, C, D, F, G, K, L, M, N).
Please remember that your spouse is not covered under your Medigap insurance. A separate policy is required for each enrollee.
